We are hiring – Engineering Fitter/Machine Tools Fitter

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Engineering Fitter/Machine Tools Fitter

Based in Lichfield, occasional international travel may be required

Immediate requirement for an experienced and qualified full-time Engineering Fitter/Machine Tools Fitter to support a small manufacturer of special purpose machines for the foundry industry.

• The role will consist of assembling and fitting. This will entail marking out, drilling and some remedial work. The ideal candidate will be trained, holding suitable relevant qualifications, whilst being able to display proven experience from similar positions. The successful applicant must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings; fit bearings, shafts, and other parts to an acceptable engineering standard; modify or adjust parts as required (machining and welding ability advantageous); competently use hand and power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments; inspect and check fitted parts and sub-assemblies; adhere to H&S procedures and SSOW.
• This is an ideal role for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with knowledge of Hydraulics & pneumatics Engineering
